In July and August 2006, fourteen talented teenagers came together to study the craft of essay writing at a "nerd camp" in upstate New York. This is our blog. Bow.

it seems about time for an update...

...though really not much has been going on. Ooh, wait, I do have news!!! It's looking like I really might go to CTY Ireland this summer!!! HOW COOL IS THAT?!?! And if I do, after the three weeks spent at CTY, my family would join me for another week of just sightseeing and stuff. Heehee. Someone should come with me. It'll be great fun.

Other than that... I have about a million tests/finals within this week and next week. Tommorow is Global (part I). The only thing keeping me going is the knowledge that there's only two weeks until regents week. Which, since I am not taking any regents, means that I will have those 4 days off, plus three random days off between semesters, which is pretty cool.

Now I get to leave you all out with more track stuff. Mwa ha ha. Actually, not much news. My 4 x 800 relay team was DQ'ed at the Hispanic Games because our anchor only ran three laps instead of four. But my time sucked anyway, my 800 on the way to my 1000 three weeks ago was faster than my plain old 800 on sunday (which was 3:00)

Ooh, My robot which I was sure was going to fail (and almost did) PASSED. My group got an 85. The stinky part was we missed a 90 by 1 point (we got 150 points, 151 points were needed for a 90) AND one of our tasks came thisclose to being completed, which would have gotten us another 40 points. And now we're building "sumobots", a.k.a. robots that fight each other. I killed ours. Quite literally. We had just finished building it, and I, being the spaz I am, dropped it and all the legos fell apart so now we have to rebuild it. Grr.

Umm... nothing else interesting. Except that a kid passed out in my bio class yesterday. We were learning about kidney dialysis, when suddenly there's this crash and he's on the floor. Somewhat creepy. He's fine though. Oh, and the votes for our freshman trip are in. We're going on a (one day) ski trip!!! Exciting, but, um, in what snow? It was 76 degrees on saturday...

Okay, I'm done. Toodles.

I'll be going to normal cty most likely, but I'm still deciding whether or not I feel like doing a double session again, or which session.
