In July and August 2006, fourteen talented teenagers came together to study the craft of essay writing at a "nerd camp" in upstate New York. This is our blog. Bow.

Stupid Power. (Origionally: YAY! The blog has AWAKENED!!!)

I was almost done writing a really long post about what's up with my life when the POWER WENT OUT. Actually, it didn't even really go out. It just flickered for like half a second. But the computer turned off and my whole million page post was LOST. So I'll try to re-create it as best as I can from memory:

YAY! The blog has AWAKENED!!!

It kind of died for a little while there. Cause May/June is all like crazy-busy-finals-ahhh!!! everything on the planet seems to happen in those two months. But now school is over!!! Except for regents. And I have projects due over the summer for a science class I'm taking next year. And a billion AP global HWs that a kind sophomore gave me because the teacher is insane and never assigns HWs until like the day before they're all due causing massive stressfulness. And track starts back up the first week of July.

Then I'm GOING TO IRELAND!!!!!!!!

I did mention this. Repeatedly, actually. But I'm say ing it again cause i'm just that excited. I mean, CTY= yay! and Ireland= yay! and CTY *in* Ireland= WOOHOO!!!! I'm taking novel writing. I think I mentioned that, too. Then afterwards my family is meeting me and we're going on this cool adventure tour of Ireland which ivolves riding around in these fun little jeep/van things. It shall be uber fun.

Let's see... what's new in my life? This morning I ran a race... not with track, I just did it with some friends "for fun". We must have really twisted minds to find the pain that you go through in a race fun. But it's not really the actual running part that's fun it's like *after* the race. But anyway, I PRed for a 5k by like a minute and a half (even if that's just because I haven't done one since november) and I was third in my age category.

Yesterday I went to my sister's awards ceremony cause she took the test for baby CTY (she's in 5th grade). She's not going to the camp this summer, though, because she's "just a baby!" and because it wouldn't really work with Ireland. But It's kind of cool that she qualified.

Then there were a couple of days last week when I just hung out and was like "Yay! No school!" and before that was Wednesday which was the last day of classes. We still have to go in on the 27th for report cards but that's only for like an hour. Of couse, then I have a meeting for that science class I'm taking next year, but those aren't bad.

Okay, that's most of the post. I think I re-created it pretty faithfully. Then there was one more paragraph in which I described the last week of May as an example of that crazy-busy-finals-ahhh!!! thing, but to sum it up: 3 track meets (!!), bio final, english final, bio project due, sister's concert at carnegie hall, my spring concert (the same day as one of said track meets), and all the usual HW.

And that's all, folks. I'm going to bed.

ugh, large amounts of stuff going on there. sounds like me! us overachievers just do too much stuff ;) I think you're right- everything on the planet is just scheduled to happen in may or june. I think they do it on purpose to drive us nuts.
