Memory of the week #18

Remember the incredible heat wave? We had to do the emergency rain plan activities (which meant no princess party! argh!) and spend our time after lunch in the lobby of sarazen and we couldn't go outside for breaks. And the boys had to move out of ryan hall to stay in the townhouses. We laugh at them. But the funny thing was, because of all this inside-in-the-air-conditioning-ness, we barely even experienced the heat wave...I was still freezing half the time.

HELLO ALL

SANTA SANTA EVITA MADRE DE TODOS LOS NINOS, DE LOS TIRANIZADOS DE LOS DESCAMISADOS DE LOS TRABAJADORES!

DE ARGENTINA!

wow, evita is so cool. hey guys. i haven't made a post in like ever.

so just an update. yay for thanksgiving, um. yeah. lots of family friends. i saw accepted. accepted's a good movie. tasty tasty pies.yum yum. just so you guys know, i pop in here every 3 days or so just to check up on things. i haven't ditched you. i lurve you guys.

hmm...our high school campus is a bitch. it's like a california campus. but we're in massachusetts so we have to move through the freezing air from building to building. it really wakes you up in the morning. so i guess that's a good thing. but it's really, really cold here. our town has really bad taste in building design, one of our middle schools was designed by a person who designed prisons. you can definitely tell.

LHS is really messed up. i guess. i just don't particularily enjoy school. i had my volleyball banquet, yay. it was some tasty food.

um, yeah. that's my exciting-ass life right there. i'm like knee-deep in work and i'm like chillaxing at the computer right now. what's the point anyways? lol.

bye bye break

So school starts again tomorrow, which is no fun. The breaks been cool, though I wish it were longer. I got in a fight with lots of family members, spent barely any time with my sister, and played risk like five times. I also had a fire (YAY!) in the fire place (obi\viously) and went to the reunion. The reunion was really cool I have pictures and cliups from it which I'll put up soon I guess. I have a ton more pictures on my flickr if anyones interested, I think they're cool.
I'm also almost done with NaNoWrimo!!! 81 pages an 46,462 words. I just need 4,400 or so more word and I'll be done! I totally think it's possible, but I'm going to have to work hard, I only have a few days left! Wish me luck!!!!!!

memory of the Week #17

How many RA's can YOU list (without digging out the yearbook). Let's see, Amanda (obviously), um, Brendan O., um, BDP, Anani, Casey, Nani, um, the two Daves, Sarah, Lisa... wow, I'm bad at this. *Digs out the yearbook* Okay:

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Happy Thanksgiving, from a tired, worked out lily!

HAHA we had a pep-rally today, and all the freshmen had to sit on the floor of the gym cuz the upperclassmen have no respect for us. oh yeah. and apparently, there's this tradition where the seniors yell "FRESH-MEN, FRESH-MEN, FRESHHHHH MENNNNNNN FRESH MEN" at us like a million times with a stupid arm motion. lol, and then they do it to the sophs and the juniors. so yaa it was pretty cool....except sitting on the floor has its disadvantages when the cheerleaders decide to do their routine. like...I SEE BLUE UNDERWEAR. oh well. at least it wasnt really underwear. it was more like, stuff-you-wear-under-your-short-skirt.

lol, so anyway, term two has started! fun stuff, i must say.

BLACK FRIDAY IS THIS FRIDAY. wooohoooo...is that just a massachusetts thing?

well, okay, if it is, here's the basic idea. the day after thanksgiving=SHOPPING DAY. no taxes. uber big sales. midnight madness (at wrentham outlets!) and wooohooo freeebieeesss. haha.

I had my first alka seltzer today. it gave me lots of burps, but hey...no headache!

memory of the week #16 (and update)

Wow, It's been 16 weeks since we've seen each other. That's...112 days. That's a while. Anyways, remember when we watched those videos about teens and advertising? We were all annoyed about how stereotypical the one about teenagers was...and the one about advertising was just kind of funny -- remember the french cheese thing? Then they were talking about that airline...it was calledlike song or something, I think. Oh, and the "Does white bread make you feel lonely?" line.

Okay, now update. Hehe, guess what? I'm #2 in my grade! I was soooo surprised...because, yeah, at my middle school I was #1, but at my middle school the average average (ha) was like a 70. My high school is a specialized (a.k.a. smart) school, and the average average is like a 94... so being #2 is actually pretty cool.

Track is good... we've started training for indoor, and I've discovered that I have hurdle-ophobia. Even the little ones scare me. 'Cause I fell on my first try since I suck at jumping... like, in general. But I do so much better when there's not something that I'm trying to jump over that I know I might trip on. Yeah. But we still have one more x-c race (that's this monday). I think I'm better at distance running.

Scince projects are OVER (you have no idea how happy this makes me) and I actually don't have that many projects going at the moment. Just one, buit that's a fun one 'cause it's comparing a historically based movie to the actual event. I'm doing Titanic. Russian is cool, I can actually say a few sentences now (Zdravswetye, rebyata! Menya zovut Amelia) *and* I can count to ten. Impressive, I know. And we have russian exchange students visiting who actually speak *really* good english... it was funny, my friend goes up to them during lunch and starts speaking really slowly with big hand movements and they just stare at her and say "You know, we speak english." Oh, and my school's SING performances are the next few days...I'm going tomorrow. It should be entertaining.

So, toodles everyone! Do Svidaniya!

Heya

Hey, guys. And by guys, I mean Amelia, Miranda, and sometimes Lily. Cause no one else ever posts. You've all just disappeared. I check from time to time, even if I rarely post.

Well, we won one masterminds game and lost one, but the one we lost was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close. Literally, if we had answered the last question correctly we would have won.

I wrote a longer post in more detail on this, but my internet connection twitched and I lost it, so now you just get the bare details because I'm lazy.

My english class stinks because we have to follow New York State guidelines. Our educational system is going down the toilet.

Our boys and girls soccer teams both just barely lost the sectionals championship. It was very sad, because the only thing our school is good at is soccer cause we suck at football. It was weird, I got all school spirited for like a game.

One quarter is over! Only three more to go till June!

Memeory of the Week #15

If you were gay,
That'd be okay,
I mean, 'cause, hey,
I'd like you anyway;
Because you see,
If it were me,
I would feel free to say
That I was gay!
(But I'm not gay)

If you were queer,
I'd still be here,
Year after year,
Because you're dear to me;
And I know that you,
Would respect me too,
If I told you today
That I was gay!
(But I'm not gay)

It's been awhile....

Well, it's been a few days. I keep thinking about posting but I never have time. I have SO much stuff happening. But it's the weekend so I can just blow everything off and read what you guys have posted in the last week or so.

I'm writing a story for NaNoWriMo and I'm pretty far, but not nearly done. It's really cool, if I do say so myself :P. I had a dance like.... two fridays ago which was fun. I can't remember if I already posted about it though.

I talked to my sister today for like the first time in a month which totally made my whole day!!! It was soooo cool. We like traded news and stuff but she couldn't tell me half the stuff happening with her because other people were there. she's going to come home for thanksgiving which will make me SO happy. Hey, maybe she can come to the reunion!

I'm going to try and go to the reunion, I really want to. I just have to make sure with my parents first. Right now isn't the best time though because it's only a few days before the elections and they're both politicians. Anyone ever heard of Ned Lamont? Yeah, they work for him.

And what's the question in all of our profiles? I'm too lazy to look, haha

Excited!

So, today was the x-c frosh city championships...and my team WON!! First place!! Pretty awesome, considering this was every public high school in the city. So I'm very happy today... it's a good day. AND I did way better than my last race at this course...I was a whole minute faster. I came in 28th place out of like 200 people and I got a pretty medal and I'm happy. Yeah.

And Halloween was fun. I was a pirate. Sort of. Okay, so I basically wore normal clothes except I wore black and white striped stockings under my skirt and I had an eyepatch on. And I said Arrr. But I went with my friends and I got massive amounts of candy (FREE! I don't understand anyone who passes up the opportunity for free candy). And I did not get shaving creamed or egged, which is good because aside from being disgusting there were cops like everywhere in my neighborhood, and they were actually getting down the names of kids who were egging/shaving cream-ing.

And what about those reunions? I don't know if I'd be able to go...but I'd try to if at least two other people went. I don't know.

UPDATE!

Hi guys!

I haven't actually posted in a very long while, so I figured I'd do so.

Um.... I have about a million clubs going on at school at once. National Junior Honor Society, Student Senate, Drama Club, Freshman Class Council, and Masterminds.

Masterminds is sooo awesome. It's basically like a sport for nerds. It's trivia and stuff, and we go to meets at other schools and stuff. Tomorrow is our first meet (wish me luck!) It shall be glorious, and we shall kick ass.

Student Senate is fun. We're hosting a senior citizens' luncheon. It's a tradition, so I hope we don't screw it up.

National Junior Honor Society is crap. I don't wanna talk about it.

Freshman Class Council is awesome, cause we're gonna hold a battle of the bands.

Drama club is awesome, cause it's with the english teacher I had last year who was awesome. And cause we're gonna do an improv, whose line is it anyway thing, like Kelly was talking about. It's glorious. I love whose line.

And................. that's about it. Except, all happening at once, scheduled on the same freaking day!

And.... my classes kinda suck. None of my teachers are really good, except for my math teacher. My counseling center is stupid and figures I don't need to take SAT subject tests because only elite colleges require them, and I couldn't POSSIBLY be smart enough to go to say, Harvard from my school. Stupid counselors. They're all too perky and happy anyway.

And there's my life.

Memory of the week #14

Remember how those water bottles from the first session were lined up on the window sill almost the whole time? Then that one day (right after watching the monty python silly walk video) we decided to throw them all away...and we knew we would look like idiots walking into the dining hall carying like 6 water bottles each, so someone said to we should all walk in doing a silly walk...imagine how funny we would look. I don't think anyone actually did, though.
